United Holy Church (Barbados) District Bible School

The UHCA Extension Bible College was the first Pentecostal theological school in Barbados. It was founded in 1978 by Bishop H.T. Gentles who was the President of the U.H.C.A. (Barbados District). The school was in operation for eight years until his “Home Going” in 1986.

Under the supervision of Bishop St. Clair Howell, then Vice President of the Barbados District, the school reopened its doors at the Mt. Zion Church on 6th September 1999, with Elder Ronald Odle as its Principal; and the new name, United Holy Church of America (UHCA) Barbados District Bible School.  At present, the school offers nineteen courses of study leading to the Lay-Worker’s Certificate and the Diploma in Theology.

The mandate is to equip, embrace and instruct all believers in Christ as they impact this present generation. With God’s help the School will continue to make a difference on the Christian landscape of Barbados.
